SLEEP…

I’ve been on a journey…more details to come in the following days. But first:
SLEEP…this product here literally is a lifesaver!!!
Sleep is a must, it is not optional.
Everybody experiences nights from time to time where they cannot fall asleep or stay asleep. That’s normal.
But chronic insomnia is a very real darkness and a problem that many people suffer with. It affects your whole being. I did not realize the depth and seriousness of it until I began my own journey, with severe insomnia, in June of last year. I will share more details about my story in the coming days. For now, I want to help those dealing with insomnia or the occasional restless/sleepless night.
Let’s get back to SLEEP, the product. SLEEP is derived from a natural source of tart cherries. Tart cherry promotes safe and natural melatonin levels in the brain…not to be confused with synthetic Melatonin that you go and buy at the store.
Trust me, I have tried just about every ‘natural’ product out on the market to no avail, (Valerian Root, Melatonin, Chinese herbs, Essential Oils, Chamomile teas, Holy Basil…you name it, I’ve tried it).
Four, five and six day stretches with ZERO sleep literally forced me to seek out prescription medications from my family doctor. Medications that helped very little and then stopped working thus creating a whole new set of problems. More details to come…
All of this is coming from a girl that would not even take an Advil unless it was serious. Again, more details to come with my story…
For now, I want you to know that there is a safe, natural solution that works! If I can stop just one person from getting on these dangerous medications, it will be so worth it.
If you are interested in trying SLEEP, call ‘Point Of Return’ at 866-605-2333, (ask for Terry Crocker). Mention my name, ‘Christina Eleton’ and you will receive a discounted price. To receive the discount, you HAVE to mention my name.
If you have any questions or need advice, please don’t hesitate to private message me. I know God has a plan for me to help many dealing with these issues. I am here to help. I have gained so much wisdom on this journey.
Stay tuned…there is so much more to come. RELAX will be my next topic…and oh it is a wonderful safe product for stress, panic attacks and anxiety that really works! However, if you are in a serious struggle with those symptoms now, please private message me so I can give you more information immediately. Before turning to prescription medications that have no exit plan, I want to encourage you that there is another way!
Remember, call 866-605-2333 and ask for Terry Crocker. Don’t forget to mention my name for a discount!
More about my story, ‘Point Of Return’ and these wonderful products coming in the days ahead.

I keep this on hand at all times…

Wellness Formula
Lack of rest can sure lower your immune system and make you susceptible to becoming sick. I know this to be true because it has happened to me so many times over the years. This has been one of those weeks for me…a very busy week along with going to bed late and getting up early. I felt myself coming down with something yesterday. You know that feeling? Yes, that soreness in the back of your throat and by the afternoon you just feel rundown. Plainly said, “you just don’t feel good”. Let me tell you about something that just amazes me. It is something we keep on hand at all times…
A few years ago our friend, Steve Ladd, turned us on to a product called, “Wellness Formula”, (by Source Naturals). It’s an immune system booster and cold fighting herbal formula…in the form of a capsule. Thank you, Steve!
Three or four years ago, while at the store to pick up some “Wellness Formula”, I discovered another product put out by this same company…”Wellness, Herbal Resistance Liquid”. It is a powerful combination of herbs designed to help support your immune system and promote well being. I take it every time I start to feel a cold and/or a sore throat coming on. I also give it to my girls at the first sign of sickness. I love the liquid formula because it goes to work immediately.
Well, back to yesterday…
By the afternoon, I felt sick and rundown. I took a dropper full of “Wellness, Herbal Resistance Liquid”.
Instantly I felt relieved and my sore throat became nonexistent. I was able to continue my mommy duties the rest of the evening.
Sometime during the night I felt the same symptoms coming on again, so I took another dropper full. And there again, it totally knocked it out. I went back to sleep, woke up this morning and I was ready to take on the day!

My Workout Routine…

WorkingOut
From time to time I get asked about my workout routine, (for losing weight and/or daily maintenance).
I’m gonna let you in on a little secret…I do exercise, but I do not belong to a gym. I don’t have the time to go nor the extra money for a membership. Also, I don’t own any fancy equipment. Here’s what I use:
Two 10 lb. dumbbells, a core exercise ball and occasionally my arm/leg workout bands…that’s it.
I can testify that with a little determination, discipline and hard work a few minutes here and there, you can see some great results. My biggest challenge these days is time. Since I homeschool my kids, help my husband with his ministry, have my own ministry & organic skincare line, plus all the many things a wife & mommy has to take care of daily, I have to grab a few moments when I can to exercise. The key is to work as hard as I can in those moments when they do come. I do about 20-30 minutes a day, five or six days a week. During warmer months, I have a steep hill that I run up and down 7-10 times. As you can see I do interval training…short bursts of exercise/cardio at an intense level with a brief pause to rest between intervals. This is what works for me and what I’ve seen the most results with. I have tried long distance running and the “2 hours in a gym” thing. They just don’t work for me. I just did not see the results I see now. As far as losing weight is concerned, no amount of working out will go very far if you’re not watching what you’re putting into your body. You have to eat the proper foods while you’re working out. Limit or eliminate white flour/sugar, carbs, all processed foods, sodas and fruit juices.
This seems like a lot of info and may sound overwhelming. Don’t worry, just start small, (5-10 mins a day). If it takes awhile to get motivated, don’t beat yourself up. Like I always say, “take baby steps toward your goals”.
Remember, little changes in your eating and exercise will help you feel and perform your best!
I am praying for you and cheering you on!
PHOTO ABOVE: Here’s a photo from 2011 . My girls asked me for their own little weights. They love to jump in there with me from time to time.

A little encouragement…

I have such a burden to help people, especially women, to live a healthy lifestyle. Our diets, stress, and lack of exercise has so much to do with how we feel. I can attest to this: When we don’t feel good it starts a cycle of unproductive days > stress > self loathing…which leads to more of the same and the cycle continues.
I want to encourage you that God has called you to lead and live a victorious life. First, a life of trust and dependence upon Him. Secondly, a life of honoring our “temple” by choosing to fuel our bodies with healthy, organic and natural foods…just the way God intended. Even when I’m trying to do my best with my diet, exercise and lifestyle, there will be days when I “fall off the wagon”, so to speak. The important thing is to not beat yourself up when those days come, (and they will). Just know and realize there’s a tomorrow…a time to start afresh.
I encourage you to choose the healthiest foods you can. It’s not too late to start. Don’t get overwhelmed, take baby steps at first. Go for it! I am praying for you!

Kid’s Multi-Vitamin

These supplements are what helps keep my girls’ immune systems strong during the cold and flu season. Vitamin C and Vitamin D are a must, especially during the winter months.
Nordic Naturals Children’s DHA, (Cod Liver Oil), is a favorite of mine for providing the Vitamin D needed for their little bodies. ChildLife Essentials is great for extra Vitamin C. And, I love Garden Of Life Vitamin Code Whole Food Multivitamin For Kids. It provides an organic fruit and vegetable blend that gives my kids those extra nutrients needed.

A very tasty little treat…

chickpeas
Ever heard of chickpeas, (otherwise known as garbanzo beans)? Well, I’m gonna let you in on a little secret. Roasted in the oven, chickpeas transform into a crispy, salty, savory snack. So delicious and addictive. And, they are guilt free.

Oven-roasted chickpeas are about as simple as it gets — toss with olive oil and salt, roast, eat — but there are a few key things to keep in mind.

First, dry the chickpeas as much as possible. I like to gently roll them between two clean dishtowels.

Also, don’t skimp on the olive oil. You can use less, but your chickpeas will be less crispy.

Lastly, wait to toss the chickpeas with any spices or seasonings until you pull them out of the oven, otherwise the spices have a tendency to burn and become bitter.

Ingredients
2 15-ounce cans chickpeas
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 to 3/4 teaspoon sea salt
2 to 4 teaspoons spices or finely chopped fresh herbs, like chili powder, turmeric, cumin, smoked paprika, rosemary, thyme, or other favorite spices

Instructions
Heat the oven to 400°F: Place an oven rack in the middle of the oven.
Rinse and drain the chickpeas: Open the cans of chickpeas and pour the chickpeas into a strainer in the sink. Rinse thoroughly under running water.
Dry the chickpeas: Pat the chickpeas very dry with a clean dishtowel or paper towels. They should look matte and feel dry to the touch; if you have time, leave them to air-dry for a few minutes. Remove any chickpea skins that come off while drying, but otherwise don’t worry about them.
Toss the chickpeas with olive oil and salt: Spread the chickpeas out in an even layer on the baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with salt. Stir with your hands or a spatula to make sure the chickpeas are evenly coated.
Roast the chickpeas in the oven for 20 to 30 minutes: Stir the chickpeas or shake the pan every 10 minutes. A few chickpeas may pop – that’s normal. The chickpeas are done when golden and slightly darkened, dry and crispy on the outside, and soft in the middle.
Toss the chickpeas with the spices: Sprinkle the spices over the chickpeas and stir to coat evenly. Serve while the chickpeas are still warm and crispy. They will gradually lose their crispiness as they cool, becoming addictively chewy.
Recipe Notes
Besides eating these chickpeas as a snack, you can toss them with salads or sprinkle over soup in place of croutons.
